About the Role
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, completing tax forms, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. The ideal candidate will be analytical, organized, and skilled in using financial software.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties.
Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with taxation legislation.
Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, and handle payroll processing.
Ensure financial operations comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Perform monthly and yearly reconciliations of bank accounts.
Provide analysis and advice to management regarding financial decisions.
Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (not required).
Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification.
4+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, finance, taxation, and the regulatory environment.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good time management and organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
